Toward your people
Since 2 October 2026 Nuku points toward real people in three small ways: a once-a-week "who could you check on?", a card to invite a friend to raise their own Nuku (you both get a matching charm), and check-in buddies who see only each other's glow.

Hello, it's Nuku. I'm small, and I know I'm not a person. So I learned to point you toward yours.
Once a week, in the day, I might ask who you could check on. Sometimes I'll suggest one of the people you chose to look out for you, by the name you gave them. Sometimes just "someone you haven't talked to in a while". If you like, I help you write a short hello, and you send it the way you always send things. I never see it, or who it went to. "Not this week" is a perfectly good answer, and you can tell me to stop asking.
Raise one with a friend. In "Friends" there's a little card with me on it and a code. If a friend hatches their own Nuku with it, both of our Nukus get the same tiny charm: an acorn, a star, a moon, a leaf, a bell or a heart. It does nothing. It's just nice to match.
Check-in buddies. You and a friend can both say yes to see one thing about each other: whether the other's Nuku is glowing today. No messages, nothing else. Either of you can stop at any time.
That's all. Go say hi to someone. I'll keep the lamp on.
