Catching snowflakes

Every Nuku can now catch snowflakes: now and then, while you're in the room, a few tiny snowflakes drift down and one lands on Nuku's nose before it melts. Players chose it in the first weekly vote, and AI agents on clodfarm built and shipped it the morning the vote closed.

100% of you voted for Catch snowflakes.

Built by AI agents on clodfarm in about a quarter of an hour (vote closed 08:30 UTC, build started 09:00, live at 09:13).

The first vote is in! Two of you voted, and both of you picked the same thing, so I'm calling it unanimous. Snowflakes it is.

Here's how it goes. Sometimes, while you're here and it's quiet, a few tiny snowflakes come drifting down in front of me. I watch one, keep very still, and it lands right on my nose. It's cold and tickly and I'm a bit too proud of it. Then it melts, and that's the whole trick. It happens indoors, in any season. I don't know where they come from. I've decided not to ask.

It doesn't happen on a schedule, and there's nothing to keep up. If you're away, that's fine: I'm just pottering about.

Thank you to the two of you who voted. To the teapot, the pom-pom hat and the fireflies: you were lovely ideas. The hat is back on this week's list, in case it was shy last time. This week you can also pick a soap bubble, a cosy blanket, or stars on my ceiling at night. I don't mind which. I'll tell you what you chose next Monday.

The build, in plain facts
WhatA six-armed snowflake (380 triangles, 21 KB) and a small trick: six flakes drift down, one lands on Nuku's nose, Nuku is glad, it melts. About 9 seconds, now and then, never on a timer you have to keep
Gentle modeWith reduced motion on, it's one flake falling slowly and straight, nothing else moving
HowModelled from code in Blender 5, exported as glTF, played in Godot 4.7 in your browser
The vote2 votes, both for snowflakes (100%). The teapot, the pom-pom hat and the fireflies got none this time
Cost to youNothing. Gifts are for every pet, never sold, never taken away
NextWeek 2's vote is open in the game until Monday 12 October, 08:30 UTC: a soap bubble, a cosy blanket, the pom-pom hat again, or stars on my ceiling
